That refers to 'Department Of Transportation' certificate. The company approved by the transportation department can only have this certificate which actually prove that they are genuine and not a fake one.

I've been just doing cross country drives until recently but I am planning to move to the west coast from NYC so I will be looking for advice as well. I've seen some options online but there seem to be very mixed reviews about a lot of companies. I never though that to ship cars (I have a few) would be so hard. I've seen a few companies that I like like ship vehicles and cross country shipping. I am still debating which one is better and what company should I use. If anyone used them in the past I would really love some advise, because so far it seems like a tie.
