Default Sunroof and Driver Side window

HI All

Everyone's favorite exciting topic.

Is there anything that comes to mind that would cause both the Driver's side window AND the Sunroof to have become inoperable (both stuck closed) while the passenger window still works just fine?

There is an audible click when the switch is pushed for D side window or sunroof but no action
.
The window control unit is practically brand new.....

Thanks!

The switches, or their wiring. Is the 'click' coming from the switch? Have seen switches fail due to contact wear or burning, or even due to the rocker part catching on the console surround, so it wont depress far enough to make contact. The wiring goes along under the edge of the console to the socket up near the radio. Get a switch out and see if there is +12V there. Try rocking it then. Take care if you open the rocker, as bits can come out and leave you unsure how it goes back together.

Thank you for the input/

Well, I'm a little embarassed I had people read this when it turned out to be an issue that has long been posted on.

I found that an older type switch (928.613.123.05) used on pre-1990 cars had been installed for the Passenger side instead of the correct one for my 91’ car (928.613.123.07).

When I disconnected the passenger (wrong) switch, the function magically returned to driver’s side window as well as sunroof.

Correct switch on order……..
