Best way to repair cut wire
Just bought my first 928 and I’m trying to get it to the point of passing an inspection. One of the issues I have is a non-working rear parking light. I was able to trace it to a cut wire from the plug to the rear light housing. What’s the best way to fix something like this?

Crimp connector. The kind with built in heat shrink on the ends of the connector would be best for an exposed connection.
Or solder it and use shrink tube over the solder joint.
If you want to be super neat, and the cut wire (it actually looks more 'worn and broken' than deliberately cut) has enough slack in it, you could get the 'pin removal' tool, pull the pin out of the plug and solder the wire to that.

If you don’t have tool for crimping, or soldering iron, then the simplest repaircrequiring just a small slot screwdriver is to cut off a single unit from a strip of terminal block similar to this. It’s not a very hostile environment back at the lights, so no big concern regarding heat, waterproofing etc.
