Hurricane hunker
Wishing all that will be in the path of the coming east coast storm the best. If you need help PM me. As it is, I am up the coast in PA; so if you need a bugout spot. Again, just PM me. Plenty of room at the house as well as parking near my place.

Great post! I will add my support, I'm in NE Atlanta with 3 empty bedrooms and a good size driveway if anyone needs a place to land.

Very kind and generous offers.
I'm on a couple different boards and FB.
There's quite a few folks offering space to 'refugees' from the storms.

Luckily, we're far enough West in SC where it should just be a couple days of rain bands (Sunday 3AM through Tuesday) and some wind, but not hurricane force winds. For those of you closer to the Coast, and more in the path, good luck and stay safe !

This storm is a lot like Harvey. The wind speeds were not the biggest threat. The storm surge and prolonged heavy rain along with the duration of Cat 1 and tropical storm force winds over the same areas are what make this a historic storm. While storm surge and local intense rains have caused flooding close to shore, the rivers won't actually crest until all the rain falling all over the state drains into the rivers and flows toward the coast early next week. I'm sure the local TV news and state and local officials are educating the public about the 1 - 2 punch nature of this storm.
