If you've got a couple days head to northern tool or harbor freight and get a one to cut down. This makes the lowest one easy to remove. I put a bit of valve grinding compound on the heads to give a bit more purchase on the heads and it helps to not strip the bolts.

Default Intake refresh questions - 1 more again (for now)

Ok, so moving along with tremendous help from you guys I've replaced the CPS, Knock Sensors, Tensioner Pads (OE passenger side was so brittle it broke just from handling it),the Pins for the oil holes in the rear cam journals, Cam sensor (OE disintegrated when removed). Thanks a bunch

Now on to something new. I wanted to clean up this large alum piece and removed the two outward bolts and the middle one (shown).
After realizing that the middle bolt had blue Loctite (don't know why) and that there is actually sealant around that large alum piece I immediately
replaced the outer 2 bolts. The bolt shown doesn't want to bite onto the threads.

What have I done?
What is behind this piece (coolant in the block, hence the seal)?
Last time I did the belts I must have been the one that put the Loctite but I can't remember why
