Its ugly, I'd wouldn't want to own it, but I've got to hand it to the person that did. It takes some big ones to go out in public like that. Whoever did it, did it for themself and probably enjoyed driving.

Besides, its not like a bad body kit with cutting and reshaping. All that car needs is a buyer who likes pink, or a good re-paint.

My impression is that the body and paint work has been done in pretty high quality. Sure, it's not everybody's cup of tea, but it doesn't look like a butcher job either. At the very least it gets you noticed.

Personally, I much prefer a pink 928 over a pink slip...

-When I was 12, my dad bought a '77 Cadillac Coupe de Ville. 7.0 liters, 180 hp, 4600 pounds. It was what Cadillac called "Bimini Beige"....

Which means that in dull light, it looked tan-colored. In brighter light...it was a pink Cadillac. And it generated some wisecracks among my friends...which were silenced of course by my fists!

GOOD LORD PARENTS! THINK! -DON'T do things that cause your children grief. I grew up with the name "Norman", which doesn't suit me and drew me no end of hell from the kids in school. Then my parents start driving a pink car...

I used to hide behind the C pillar when I rode in that car, and when I got out of it, I'd walk away quickly several steps to put some distance away from it, in case someone from school saw me!

A pink 928 of the sort pictured is soooo heinous to my eyes that I have to think that the person responsible comes from a culture different from mine [I'm being PC!].

I just know that this is heinous!

N!

Given everything on the car was the same, except that the pink areas would be a different color (say, teal, or blue, or whatever) - would you still consider it ugly then?

there is no way one can determine the quality of paint and bodywork from photos , many people are unable to make that judgement in person . As Ebay sales would indicate nearly every car looks "good" in pictures . Painting the remanents of the S rear lip spoiler Pink , to me would indicate that they were "cutting corners" . Fiberglass body kits and flares typically require a great deal of work to fit and quite a lot of bondo body filler to blend to the old body . Gluing fiberglass to steel or aluminium is always problematic because of the tendency of glass to shrink , the different rates of expansion when heated make them want to separate , fiberglass rear covers make very poor " bumpers " .... We have taken apart several cars with fiberglass parts and most were really not done very well ........ generally speaking fiberglass body parts do not stand the test of time well . One need only look at all the 911 "turbo body" conversions some of which used glass to see the difference and note that the sellers who have a Turbo look car usually make a point of stating clearly that it is a steel body car . In my opinion , fiberglass only "works" on race cars .
