Where is knock sensor 1?
Theo tools says I have an error 30 with knock sensor 1.
Can I assume this is the one in front?

Bob's hillbilly troubleshooting method. Unplug one of the sensors. 50% chance it's the one you are finding as failed, and the diagnostic reading won't change. Or the reading changes and you've found the sensor that's still good. Regardless, unless the problem is a loose connector, you'll want to replace both. Typically same age and same abuse experienced.

Knock sensor is fine. Source of the error was the harness. Seen here:
My electrician, George Bougouaris, replaced the connector, I cleared the fault and the knock sensor fault is gone.
Woohoo.

That saved just a tiny bit of work! Great find.
