Kind of expensive for a set of tubes that it is uncertain about if they make any difference.

if they weren't so expensive, i'd consider a set just cuz mine are broken.

I have a set of intake tubes (from my 89gt - stock tubes - not the gts tubes on my avatar) that I don't need. No reasonable offer (plus shipping and packaging) refused. 928 Intl wants $80 for a set.

Never mind. They won't fit your 86.5.

I did this and posted about it a while back. I used the same type material (it is marine wet-exhaust hose). NOT inexpensive.
I went back to stock tubes, as this stuff is a MAJOR pain in the a$$ to remove and put back on.

On the plus side - it should last 4-ever, and because of it's thickness, keeps the air cooler.

I think you can buy those tubes at Home Depot or Lowes or a good plumbing supply house for a lot less than $100 bucks.

Gerry - believe it or not, this tubing (Marine wet-exhaust hose) is about $10-12 per foot!
