Default Generic USB-C charger that actually works in a 928?

Title says it all- I have two different USB-C-capable chargers here for my Pixel 2 that work in my Hondas but not in the GTS. Pulled the ashtray and there's 12V at the terminals with the ignition in position II. Anybody got one that works in their 928?

A couple more Pelican links:

There's also a part that is supposed to fit in the 928, to update from the older size to the newer size, but I can't make any promises, just found it searching.

What I did was mount a double cig lighter socket on a small piece of wood, maybe 3" x 3", painted the wood black, and set it in the passenger foot well shelf near the console. This gives me 2 modern sockets that work better than the stock one, and allows me to plug in a GPS and radar detector with the wires out of the way towards the passenger side. Chargers work better in these sockets as well. I don't have a pic handy, but it's hardly noticeable and really helps on road trips.

I did what Don did. I found a pair of soft-wired sockets and connected them to the existing lighter-socket wiring, with cable and connector passing forward on the right side of the console with the window switch wiring. They live on the passenger's parcel shelf in my car, and tuck out of view when the car is displayed. GPS/Phone/Etc connect there, leaving the ashtray door down on normal driving. No wires looping out of the ashtray area either. Much cleaner.

A little more extreme than some of the others, but to carry along with the theme, I mounted a usb dual outlet on the center of my rear seat delete panel, wired to the battery.

I bought a covered cigarette socket usb charge port and a couple decent looking buttons...I'll be taking my cracked lcd clock out and replacing it with a black abs sheet that will be the mounting panel for my charge port and buttons. Why buttons? Garage door opener and gate opener mounted behind grill...switch wires running to console. Why not use existing cigarette lighter socket? It will be delete and I'll fabricate a new box under the ash tray cover for cool stuff.
