Default my steering wheel

Thom, Good question that deserves a good answer. I purchased the car from a representative of the company for the original owner who had passed away. When I got it, it came with a tan Momo steering wheel that matched the interior and gold BBS wheels. They could not find either the original wheels or steering wheel, so I called my friends at 928 International and purchased a used steering wheel and a good used set of wheels. They can verify that specific order. I still have that original steering wheel if anyone is interested in purchasing it. Thank you for your observation and I hope this answers your question.

Another question that deserves an answer is the one I posed about shill bidding.

Now that LOW MILER has become aware of rennlist is using it to further his needs and is a porschephile, he should join?

Sean, I can't believe you are raking Jim. Obviously he is more interested in honesty than the amount of business you send them. AND if it is such a grand amount of business, that only increases the value he places on integrity. The reason we are paranoid should be obvious. It is because of the semantics and judgement involved that brokers who never even see the product get a bad rap, sometimes deservedly so. Again, I can't understand how you can be in the communication business (semantics for selling information) when you behave the way you do on this board. Hyperfish may be an extreme example of your tactics, but are you not promoting your products? Anybody who posts something for sale here is the initiator of a deal and is therefore promoting his product, he/she has a bias, can't have it any other way. I would think a license as described would be to your advantage. Makes me wonder why you resist and play word games. "Driver's License" You are funny. Or do you really not know the difference? BTW, I have a bridge for you to buy and they have made a lot of improvements in it recently, it's classic and only one owner!

In regards to "LOWMILER"
Todd has been a customer for about 4 years. When he calls me for parts he is usually looking for whatever it takes to make the car perfect. He never asker for the cheapest part only the best and the fact that he uses Terry at Europsort proves to me that he is willing to pay top dollar for the excellent work Terry is known for.

As for Sean I do not have much personal experinece but it appears to me that he is trying hard to do a good job. I do think that managing peoples expectations is a difficult job but I do personally know a few people who have dealt with him and are very happy.

Personally, I'm glad we have Sean and Low Miler (gotta name there, bud?) dropping in here. When it comes time for me to look for my next 928, you can bet I'll be talking to both of them.

Jim, I love ya, but unless you have personal grievances with Sean, I'd suggest you cut him some slack. You do yourself no favours by slinging mud within the 928 community without a personal reason to do so.

Regarding shill bidding, I understand the concept, but still can't figure out why someone would pay significantly more for a car than it's generally accepted street value. If you suspect this type practice - don't bid! And don't squeal about not getting what you want 'cause someone else was willing to pay more.

For a purchase of this value, do your homework! Lack of due diligence by a buyer (AKA 'laziness'), is no grounds for whining after the sale, but unfortunately, today's not-my-fault society is all too happy to encourage folks to direct blame upon everyone except themselves.

Bottom line - if you don't get an independent PPI before the purchase of ANY car from ANY seller, cry me a river but you'll get no sympathy. The world is full of Mike Takata Hyperfishes - constantly wronged and ever bitter, yet we take them in stride and move on.

Randy: Sean's only crime may be over enthusiam. Even so, his posts and/or behavior is a little odd. You are telling a buyer to get a PPI under all circumstances, so what is the value of Sean's contribution to the process? What does his search engine do that mine doesn't? Jim is highlighting another conflict we all face: As a buyer he wants it cheap, as a seller he wants it high. Does that explain his touting sight unseen of this car at $19K, what's up with that? And the auction is still on, what buyer in his right mind comes here and touts the car/auction in progress? I'm in the city and I see somebody behaving oddly, I steer clear; I'm in the country, I hit it with a stick. Sean may be providing some service, and I wish him well, but he is at best a puzzle.

Randy-

Yet again, ever quick to take sides WITHOUT knowing all the facts.

It's quite obvious you have some sort of axe to grind with me, so you could hardly be considered a disinterested third party on this matter.

I NEVER make false accusations and AWAYS have the documentation to prove ANY statements I've made.

Of course, those points are pointless to someone like you who already has a clear agenda & axe to grind...

Keep it up so it becomes as clear to others as it is to me...

SteveG-

Some of the classic reasons people try to fly "under the radar" of state licensing bureaus, especially car "dealers" or brokers:

A. $$$
Not only the license fees, but mainly the insurance.

Insurance companies look at a risk similar to how a bank looks at a lending risk.

New in business or no prior insurance = high risk

Have been operating without insurance = even higher risk

No physical inventory, selling cars sight unseen = EXTREMELY high risk, for obvious reasons

B. Person has problems or "history" with their licensing past history

C. Person can't obtain a bond

Etc. Etc. etc...

Your guess is as good as any in this case, but Oregon's DA has already formed an opinion as has their BBB & other agencies...

Contrary to Randy's agenda of trying smear me, my intent has been to try & alert other Rennlisters about Sean's less than honest sales tactics.

The fact that Randy refused to move the first thread I linked to earlier back here after repeated requests & now wants to paint a certain picture of me instead of looking at the problem square in the eye is another matter entirely...

Less then honest Mike....... You were refunded 8K!!!!! I was trying and trying from the get go to make right on the situation and you knew what happened. I was in the middle and with a family to support and because the other situation unsituated you went after me like I stole your wallet . Quote" I will fly out" then you "fell and could not get up" and there went the plan. I represented what looked as obvious to you as the real deal. Do you think I would go through the hassle of tainting my reputation on purpose? Anybody with half a brain would know better. I was taught reputation over money with keep your business alive and respected. You can make all the remarks and attempts to taint me but one thing is for sure as long as I know the truth and I continue to represent it as best I can, I will continue having a blast talking Porsche's all day.

To Heinrich:

I have known LowMiler for around 3 years. He actually opened my eyes to this business. If you look at his other auctions you will see no shill bidding. We had a conversation about the car and he said I could have it for 19K....(joke) I made a bid and only to 19....nobody will get the car for that and really it was more of a joke then anything. If he does offer it for 19k I will make every attempt to get it. Anyways the reserve as you can imagine is higher so "shilling" would only be considered that if I was trying to pump up price which is not the case. My max is what I stated and that will not get the car........

Steve G.,

I was not avoiding anything and I do not sell here. I pointed out a few cars back in my new days and got my head ripped off. I didnt understand the point behind rennlist because I was introduced to only people who knew nothing of me questioning me kinda like LOWMILER was at the start of this thread. I went through the same thing and because I care about my reputation I defended it.....anyways i have not had too since Hyperfish's last attempt to make me look terrible.

I appreciate the support from the big wigs and thank you for seeing my reality.

Jim I am sorry I got defensive but you have razzed me alot and when you make comments that point to unethics its not very exciting. I was not given the best of welcomes but I believe in what I do so running away was not an option.

No more from me.....

Yes Sean, less than honest.

You readily admitted that you lied on multiple occasions, from "The check is in the mail" to having full knowledge the first wire transfer did NOT go as you told me, yet you kept telling me it had.

I have the emails, with full headers (dates/times) as does my ISP & email server logs proving your lies.

I was taught reputation over money with keep your business alive and respected.
LMAO, Puhleeze! When I first presented you evidence as requested & expressed YOU are ultimately responsible for the accuracy of your Ebay ads, you tried to tell me that Ebay puts that print in the ad & it means nothing.

ROFL, I guess you got quite a wakeup call from Ebay, Ebay Fraud, Ebay Motors, Square Trade, etc. when they, in NO uncertain terms said you are FULLY responsible for the accuracy & content of the description of items sold.

There is also the email from the PO giving, in FULL DETAIL you the ultimatium to refund said $$$ when, in fact, you "skimmed" some of the $$$. (As well as info on other deals)

As always, there are two sides to every arguement. Your side has thin, flimsy excuses, mine has solid proof WITH full documentation and third, fourth & fifth party corroboration.

Gee, I wonder which side holds more merit?

Best to stop digging your own holes while you're behind, or we can choose to continue this battle in court & over Oregon's DMV Dealer Investigation Unit's proceedings.
