Need a place to park your 928?
I found this collection of marketing videos fascinating. All are ingenious. I suspect most of them require a ton of money.
The tent one probably isn't but, as a guy who spent most of his career doing major brand advertising, I found it amazing. I would never have dared use the line near the end. "We've got your back; or your front; whichever you prefer". I snorted my adult beverage of choice out my nose. Takes a lot to do that at my age and is not pleasant. Hope the humor helped them more than hurt them.

The line "We've got your back; or your front; whichever you prefer" will go right over most people's heads without them understanding what was said. But the image of the 2 guys holding hands, embracing each other, then the marriage proposal was blatant enough to turn off and offend many viewers. Regardless of your or my personal views on gay marriage, it is a foolish mistake to offend even one potential customer by using controversial imagery in an advertisement. The bottom line is that the sole purpose of any advertising is to entice as many consumers as possible. Anytime the advertiser uses controversial content he/ she has failed at his/her first priority. Leave the anti Trump and pro gay rights agendas out of marketing and the ad campaign will be more effective. A prime example of this is Chick-Fil-A. While the founders are well known for being conservative, pro marriage, and anti gay, they do not inject their views or opinions in their marketing. They want to sell chicken sandwiches to everyone. They don't use images that offend people who have different religious opinions.

How do you explain the use of what may be controversial then? I see bi-racial, gay friendly, couples all time. Isn't there a "pick up more than you drop" dynamic being used? There are lots of variables, geographic, or political of the selected market, and of course the product's potential appeal. Then there is the opposite. MB is running an "offend nobody" ad that show a couple adopting a dog; no mention of the product until the end. The orphan dog is perfectly cast and gets me every time. The pitch is to add a new member to your family's summer experience: a new MB.

Sorry that I seem to have made the tent video the star of this thread. My original post was motivated by wanting you to see these unique parking solutions.
