New Chin Splitter/Spoiler Project - need a car to digitize

Carl - nice concept, but one thing to consider with respect to a one piece combo unit. That front spoiler is a damage item, hence your project. A belly pan is not something that normally gets damaged. A new design is still going to experience damage at the spoiler area. If you make it a one piece unit that incorporates the belly pan, then when the chin spoiler damage inevitably occurs, the customer will have to replace it with a more expensive piece that now includes a belly pan that otherwise would not be broken.
I would keep these parts separate IMHO.

A good point Ed, and I agree.
However, the opposite is also true: the guy who has no engine belly pan at this time, and needs or wants a spoiler. He could solve two things with just one purchase...
But I do not want to get off of our primary objective here, I'm not doing this to make Belly Pans. Mark has that well in hand. My goal here is chin splitter/spoiler replacement. I only mentioned the belly pan because I feel that we may be in the same plane when mounted and it will likely come up. It's just a thought. Not our primary goal.
Good to hear your thoughts on that now should I encounter that issue during the design phase.

Carl,
Have you touched base with Stan Pendergraft(Exclusive Motors, Charlotte), or Brad Moyer(Digital Chassis, Tr-Cities)?
Cheers,
Dave

Hey Dave, Brad has a couple customers with GTS's that he is going to carry this idea to for us. He says "Hi!"
Sorry to report that Exclusive Motors seems to have CLOSED.

Update with Pics
Update: a clean 928 has been loaned to us by Mark Kaplan (Thanks Mark!) and we have used it to make our digital measurements of all the mounting points. I have seen a few mock-ups, here is the one I favor. Although Mark's car does not have an external oil cooler, I am designing the necessary air flow for all 87-95 928's with external oil coolers.
These pics are early in our process - so much yet to be decided. Just an update.
Pics below are of the car getting CMM measurements of the key locations made, then two pics of one of the mounts, and three pics of a wooden mock-up on the car.

Will that horizontal splitter piece be somehow configured as a breakaway section? It either needs to be really weak so it can come off without trashing the rest of the nose, or super-strong and able to carry the weight and the impact that driveway aprons and parking-lot bumpers will impart. Especially if it's going to be low enough to do some actual good.
Watching with interest.
