Default Bearing for tensioner roller 92810557104 ?

Has anyone sourced a bearing for tensioner roller 92810557104? 1983 on... #10 in the diagram. I know there are bearings available for #19.

Sean? Roger? Mark? Someone must have figured this out. My existing bearing got wet from a coolant leak, sat, froze, rusted, and obscured any markings that my have been present. Yes the whole roller is available for about 25 times the value of a new bearing.

Thanks!

Courtesy of Garth S, circa 2007:

TB Idler pulley -'87> ........6905 25x49x9
- '85/'86.....6004 20 x 42 x 12
-'80 ( early 16v) ...... 6303, 17 x 47 x 14
- all press into old shells.
These bearings average $7 for top grade double sealed.

So he lists only three possibilities, each with a different bearing OD. His list of model years is incomplete, but I think if you measure the ID of your roller you can pick the correct bearing.
78 - early '83 928 105 571 00
early '83 - 1985 928 105 571 02
1986 M28.43 -1995 928 105 571 04

Slight addendum to the 'old' thread .... I cannot recall the specifics of #10 bearing, so bear in mind that some of these assemblies have an insert pressed into the inner race ( to match the od of the shaft upon which they operate)> Also, in certain cases, the outer race is not symmetrically centered in the shell. Therefore, grab the calipers and measure the seating depth and orientation of any spacers - prior to pressing apart.

Any of these shell type rollers are easily pressed apart using a vise and sockets selected to match inner and outer race diameters - even a 'C-clamp' will do the job ..... but do use the depth gauge on your calipers!

If uncertain about what bearing you've pressed out, the od, id and width measures will yield the correct '62xx'/etc size from any std bearing chart (google!)

Replaced that bearing when I did my TB/WP...IRRC, 928intl, had the part for about $10 USD...I have a '83 Euro(ZZZ ) K-Jet car, so I always tell them my Vin # AND Engine # so I get the right parts--Important with an EURO because some U.S spec parts won't fit..
I don't recall the measurements on the bearing I got, but with the VIN & Engine numbers to work with, I got the right part...It fits and it works...
Our suppliers are great and can usually get the parts you need without much trouble..Just give them your numbers so they know that to look for...

Rob was that a typo as 6905 seems to be 25 x 42 x 9
Which is correct for the 928 105 571 04?

Hi Roger-

Good catch, yes that was a typo, should be 25 x42 x9. I don't have an S4+ idler roller in front of me right now but will measure tonight to verify.
