purchased a 78 928 pics; battery size
I purchased a 5 speed 1978 928 about a month ago. On the way home the brakes seized up and booster doesn't work so I have to try and fix that now. Also transmission was grinding into first and second gear so I have to look into that as well.
I just replaced the batter and they gave me.a batter that doesn't seem to fit. It is a bit too tall so I can't get the clap on. Anyone have the measurements for the battery?

For a '78 you want a Group 49, for 79-95 Group 48.
Dimensions of the BCI group standards are listed here:

Here you go, read this thread https://rennlist.com/forums/928-forum/994615-1978-battery.html. The size 49 battery will not fit the 78 box with lid properly secured. I ended up with a group 41 size. Lots of good info in that thread.

I'd like to see pictures of the front and rear too as someone looks like they went to quite a bit of trouble to facelift a 79 and make it look like an S4 (spoiler, wheels, window trim, etc).
