Help! Handbrake tube stuck in hub carrier
#17
Tony were very close, it's an MG-midget 1966.
Just got of the phone with Porsche in Sweden and they are selling the tubes separately at 120 SEK per side which is around 16 USD.
Not to bad after all...

Peter,
As a personal favor... could you measure the Midget, nose to tail.
I never did but as a junior in high-school I remember deciding that there was no way I could fit in the Midget, or, for that matter a Sprite.
Seemed to be barely 7 foot long if that.
Good price on the tubes

John,
this is really a small car, and next to the shark.....
Anyway the overall length is 358 cm or 141 in, wheelbase is 203 cm or 80 in.
Overall width is 153 cm or 60,25 in and the approx. weight is 760 Kg or 1675 lb with oil and fluids.
When I sit in the car and reach out I can touch the ground with my fingertips.
It's not a fast car but the feeling is a bit like go-carting, when testing top speed you really have to stay focused to keep it straight.
(and for sure it takes some guts to do it)
Its a car that I bought already 1982 and drove for 2 Years and then spent more than 10 years on a complete renovation.
It's like a family member and will be kept, doesn't occupy to much garage space either :-)
Randy, thanks for the input.
Never seen the brand you refer to in Sweden though.

Ah, sorry Peter, didn't see you were outside the US.
I'm sure you can find some better alternative penetrant besides WD40 there - just ask any of your mechanic friends.
