First time I have done this test, I never realised it would be so informative..this car so deserves some love!

Are you sure you're not sucking it into the intake? try putting the air box back in place and run the test again to verify your results.

Yep will do, although it was more convincing in reality than it sounds thru the iPhone’s mic..a noticeable and replicable differential in rev change between individual intake arms.

LOL, I think the noise is the sound of 12 simultaneous giant air leaks..

Or something to do wirh my blocked idle adjuster, see separate thread. That noise got louder when I tried to adjust the idle. Jeez, these cars.. :-)

OK, now I'm shopping at my friendly non local ebay silicone hose store, this is fun, I get to choose colo(u)rs.

I am going to buy some 3mm lengths and a (90mm?) coupler for the plenum to throttle body piece.

45mm ID looks right for my spider legs intake sleeves, they have a 46mm ED according to my measurements (I saw on a search folks using different ID's but for later cars maybe)

I seem to have a really big result from spraying the connectors to what is apparently called the deceleration valve, but I think I can just delete that thing and cap off the connectors? Put it in a box with the air pump?

Loving this learning curve..

Had the exact issue on all 3 of my rescues....that old rubber gets leaky....
