Very Strange electrical problem
This one really has me stumped. Not sure how this is all related but here goes....my interior lights stopped working #1, then the clock #2. The radio resets itself every time I turn off the ignition. Once I reset the radio pre sets the clock works ( digital clock) but the interior lights still don't work. How are these all interconnected?

do the hatch pulls work when you open the door?
Could be a bad pin switch and blown fuse and a shorted cig lighter

Thanks Stan for the response. I just replaced the fuse for the interior lights and all is good, clock works etc. Now the motor for the hatch release will run until until I pull out the 1amp fuse. The wire to the hatch had become in conflict with the E brake handle, I repaired it and pushed it up under the carpet so it won't happen again but the hatch motor still running. I'll check the pin switch.

I got everything to work again with the exception of one oddity. If I put the 1 amp fuse back into the hatch slot the motor runs until I pull it out. However the hatch opens using the pull switch.
Dazed and confused as ever

what was the last thing you fixed?
have you opened the hatch with the key recently maybe turned it past the straight up position?
Or one of the doors?

Hatch motor: My understanding is that the hatch motor has 'tracks' similar to the headlight motor or the wiper motor.
The door light circuit (fuse 24 - which is also the constant power for the stereo) is the 'starter' part, attached to the pull switch. Once it goes a bit, the 'run' part makes contact and goes around back to the beginning to where it no longer contacts and it stops.
It sounds like the 'run' part is shorting out somewhere, making it run all the time.
