What LED turn signal flasher are you using?
Today I installed LED bulbs for my front and rear turn signals and used this LED flasher on my USA spec 1988 928. The turn signals and hazzard seems to work ok, however, there are a couple issues that I am experiencing and I am hoping someone has a good solution:
Problem 1: The green indicator on the dash illuminates very dimly for both the Hazzard and turn signal.
Problem 2: When the amber corner lights are flashing (either turn or hazzard) the light bulb goes from dim to bright.
I seem to remember others having installed LED's for the flasher without issue but I cannot find any recent references in the archives. I have tried a few different variations of LED bulbs to no avail so I am deducing it is the flasher relay.
Here are the items I have installed:
Relay: CF13GL-02 LED Bulb Electronic Flasher 3 Pin Black European Flasher
Front: 1157 LED Bulb - Dual Function 51 SMD LED Tower - BAY15D Retrofit Amber
Rear: 1156 LED Bulb - 51 SMD LED Tower - BA15S Retrofit with Lens Amber

I had a 78 car that was modded with all of the LED bulbs in the tail lamps, all of the bulbs had very poor light output, T,P B,R.
I told the owner you cant see the brake lights they look just like parking lights.
I removed all of the LED lamps and restored all of them to incandescent bulbs now they light up as they should.
SRSLY some times the old parts really do work well,
and cleaning the contacts will increase light output.
Same goes for the dash lights

I'd compare what you used to Ed's post #40. I followed it 7 years ago and converted all bulbs inside and out (except 3rd brake light) and never had to change a relay. My lights are just as bright - and certainly more vivid. The 3rd brake light was to avoid issues with cruise control.
