I'm trying to install a new transmission mount and I'm having trouble getting it to fit. Any tips on installing the big mount on the drivers side of the trans? The small one was in there but it seems like its not the right fit causing some misalignment.
Ok... Ok... I got it.... you really have to lift the trans a lot .... and you need to drop the half shaft.... its just too tight. Sorry for answering my own question. If anyone needs help doing this.. just let me know.
I didn't have to drop anything. I loosened loosened the parking brake mechanism (in released position). Each car may offer slightly more or less clearance and access...but for me this job was much easier than the motor mounts job.
