in addition to the plastic neck leaking badly at the base, is has a fine crack on the side. so it is certainly, toast. in my mind, I can't comprehend how a
plastic filler neck is less susceptible to warpage?

I already have the metal neck and will make sure it is flat before installation. also got a proper valve from 928 Intl, so now I am
looking for the S3 metal baffle. just posted a WTB, so if anyone has one to sell, please PM me.
