Just to return the reader to the original track... our current intake manifold development project is to take this manifold which proved out very well on the engine dyno and repackage it so that it will fit completely under the hood of a 928.

And yes, as Catorce said, the idea is to offer a bolt-on intake manifold product that will require minimal or no modifications to the motor.

Holy Godzilla Batman that is one beast of an engine.......my cams are not made for supercharging but I am so tempted to put that raptor I bought from you ( which I made 423 rwhp with base circle grind cams) on my stroker ......do you sell cams that idle well ( with tuning ) yet are great for superchargine!!!!

And do you use the shark tuner or your stand alone brain you sell ???

Carl, I guess I am wondering why you didn't design it that way in the first place?

Cause its for my race car and a hood bulge didn't matter. So we went with the optimal size rather than packaging constraints.

Exactly right. The design for Catorce was "HP above all else" so we could learn what was possible with our 6.54L naturally aspirated engine. 602 BHP was a very good result. This confirmed that there are real HP gains waiting to be had, and the project is worth the work. So now I am
repackaging it to fit under the hood as well as converting the design from a one-of into something that can be manufactured in short production runs to bring costs down.

This project is still moving forward.. adjustments to the intake runners are being made so that they clear all features and obstructions on heads and water bridges, etc. So they can be installed without any mods to the motor.

30-40 would be justifiable but what about how it works with cams? S4s being the weenie cams of all the 928s made.

I know, I know... I have been consumed by the composite chin splitter project and several engine builds for customers. I keep looking at it - its high on my list. I am looking forward to returning to this project as soon as I can.

When I left off I was making the next round of adjustment to the billet aluminum intake manifold flanges to clear the water bridge and other obstructions so that the manifold will be a drop-on fit. That's where I am at.

very jealous of the amount of space available under the 928 hood, to be able to fit (or nearly fit) that monster intake.
keep up the development of these cars Carl, someone has to.

Thank you, Spencer.

I have quite a few new products on my board now in one phase or another of development. It has been an exciting year for new products, and it looks like next year will be as well.

I just bought an LS6 intake for my LM4 I'm building out and remembered this thread on the 928 intake. Anything new Carl?
