Let the reassembly begin
Before:
After:
Now I have remember how to put it back together.
If all goes well it'll be done before SITM.

Progress is slow and steady. Door handles, cup mirrors and most of the side moldings. New hatch seal is in place - so much easier without the hatch in the way.
Front and rear bumper cover are fully assembled waiting for me to attach the beading. (ordered proper staples). Sunroof with new seals waiting to be installed. Doing serious sunroof maintenance before it goes in.

Punch list is getting shorter. Rear hatch, lower front spoiler, door locks, door sills and door panels. Then off to final buff.

Stan, you were right about the mirror harness being moved out of position. Not by the body shop but by the welder to get access to the bump strip nearest the door hinge. Luckily I found it before putting the door panel on. I fixed both sides.

Looking good, did you take the sill covers off for painting?
It’s such a rewarding part of any restoration putting it back together. Something therapeutic about it.

Therapeutic, yes. You learn a lot from putting it back together.

Kevin, did you have any issues with filling/welding the holes in your door skins when you deleted the rub strips?
I'm going to find someone who can do the same with the mirror holes on my passenger side, and have been thinking I pretty much need to take everything off & out of the door to gain access and prevent damage.
The paint looks great!

Steel holes were easy. As were the aluminum in the front fenders and door edge. The hole nearest the door hinge is very challenging to get aluminum bar stock behind to get a good weld.
This is Ellis finishing up the weld at the door hinge.

Assembly done!
Finally got the assembly compete. Thanks to Kevin Wilson and Rich Hall.
Still needs to get the final buffing and detail for SITM.
Lots more to do. But, the hard work is behind me.
