The automatics are better for lemons racing.......I seriously doubt the 5 speed would survive endurance racing with a big money cooler setup...vs the automatic that just runs......my old lemons racer has an 88S4 auto with LSD.....I built that racer almost 10 years ago...it still runs and the trans is perfect....just annual filter/fluid changes....

It runs and drives. That would take it out of the "parts car" category, at least for me.

It's going to take a lot of work to make it 'nice', but it doesn't need to be 'nice' to be enjoyed.

I've seen a lot of cars in a lot worse shape asking for a lot more money. (yes, that's a lot of lots)
