Sorry for the late reply. They come from the D2 generation of S8. They originally used 345mm rotors so I'm sure you could fit 350mm Cayenne rotors without much trouble.

Ok, thx!
It´s such a different car to my 928 S2. More power but a little bit stiff in the corners.
A great car for fast trips with the family on the Autobahn but the 928 is so much more fun.

S brakes on my '78. Notice air ducts won't fit because of the mudguard support
This is my '78 with the current "S" front brakes. The rears remain the same as in S cars.

I did GTS calipers on the front with Carl's adapters and a 2-pice GiroDisc rotor from a 993 TT then GTS / S4 calipers on the rear with black e-coat Powerslot rotors and Hawk HPS pads with Motul RBF600 fluid. Braking is exceptional. Shown in 18" wheels. I think I bought one front caliper from Lindsay Racing and the other from Sierra Madre Collection.

For anyone that isn't concerned with the "look" of the bigger calipers, the S setup is more than you'll ever need on the street or even track use with a stock power-plant.

Jean-Louis ran many race seasons laying down low 2:30's at Road America with stock S brakes with a 300+hp EuroS.

They're still a bigger hassle to fit than using an adapter and fitting 4 piston calipers. You need to change out the spindle to fit the S calipers.
