Default Technique for resetting clutch slave cylinder?

Hi All,

I’m in the process of replacing my clutch slave with GB hose and pumped clutch slave a few times to purge the air bubbles out. I then pumped the clutch peddle in an effort to also get bubbles out which then pushed the slave cylinder out too far. I’ve tried removing the slave and pushing in back by hand but no luck. Any suggestions?

TIA- Alex

There's a spring lock washer around the outside of that boot. Take a small screwdriver and pry it out. Remove the boot. The piston for the slave should be simple to re-insert back into the slave....if one side of the piston seal hangs up, use a popsicle stick (or something similar) to gently compress the piston seal's edge.

Straight out the boot and re-assemble.

I could tell you to not push on clutch pedal with slave not installed...but I'm guessing you know that, now.
