Post 1978-1979 928 Manual Transmission

Hey Everyone I need your help!

I have a 1978 928 that is in need of a rebuilt or used G28/03 manual transmission. Does anyone know where I could possibly find one for sale/a place that rebuilds them? The old style transmissions are kind of hard to find, the newer ones won't fit right.
Thanks!

-Trevor

Greg Brown of Precision Motorwerks in Anaheim CA is the place to ship your trans to. Buy an Igloo cooler and ship it there. It will be made perfect/new for the next 25 years. If Greg cannot do it, don't think anyone else can.

good luck!

Thanks! I'll check it out, I couldn't find anyone that would do it.

I couldn't find anyone to take my old '79 5-speed off my hands a few years ago when I did my Z06 6-speed upgrade. Ended up giving it to Hacker. Maybe he doesn't actually need it and would sell it to you. It needed synchros though.

I've got two guys locally experienced in rebuilding these, it's getting torn apart really soon with two others to see if we can make one half way decent shifting transmission.

Thank you again for the unit, the parts will be put to good use!!
