Default Door Card Restoration

Hey guys, half way through this project.
Replacing vinyl, carpet and speakers on door cards.
I have a set of new door clips, both black and white. Can anybody help me with the correct placement of the white clips?
I’m guessing they are strategically placed, but the old cards are in disrepair and the clips are all mixed up.

On mine, the white clips were for the door insert panel, black were for the main panel.

Thank you!
Makes perfect sense too.

Rob Budd made a picture diagram of where they go.

Thanks for the pic of the clips Blake.

The cards came out ok, not Classic9 or Paul C. Quality, but okay for DIY.
I found different spray adhesives worked better on different materials:
3M Auto Advanced Headliner adhesive worked best for carpet.
3M Super 77, Multipurpose, worked better for vinyl.

I started with patterns from the old cards, but honestly it became easier to just start with a general size and wrap and trim as I went.

Perfect timing on this diagram - I'm doing similar and was trying to figure out which clips went where (New ones should arrive tomorrow). My vinyl was in great shape just loose in places so I used Weldwood (per Merlin) and reinstalled.

Which speakers did you decide on and are they drop in or do you need to modify ?

Hey, sorry about delay.
I used Rockford Fosgates, but did have to pull the metal bracket and modify for size.
I really had trouble finding anything that was both quality and a drop in size.
They are probably out there, I just got tired of looking.

FWIW I would suggest to only use Weldwood brush on cement to affix interior parts,
once the car sees a few summertime heat cycles along with a few car washes the carpets and vinyl will come undone,

I have installed about 14 928 interiors its the only glue I will use.

Also if you have weakened door panel cards that have water damage to them then the clip holes can be fixed bu using instant cure super glue look for the 2 oz bottle of hobby super glue buy a can of spray activator you can put the glue around the clip openings and after its dry the area will be hard..
You can also put lines of the glue across the bends this will add rigidity to the door panel.
For voids you can use the thickened superglue so get both bottles I bought 2 thin and one thick bottle of 2 oz each and used just about all of this on two worn panels.

Also fit the new vapor barrier drip panels then cover the door with a whole sheet I like to use a clear shower curtain poke holes where the clips and bolt go so its easier to assemble

Good tips Stan as usual.

Here’s a question for anybody:
The factory carpet and vinyl was secured with what looked like T50 staples on the internal side of the cards.
I couldn’t get them purchase into the door card material. I also couldn’t anything small enough for my pneumatic gun to use it.
Any tricks there? I just ended up using clamps long enough to set adhesive.

I personally fiberglass my interior panels. It's a fairly permanent solution to panel warping.

As for the staples, they hold the bottom plastic of the map pockets in place. You can glue the carpet and leather/vinyl in place and then drill some holes in the pocket and door card and use some large rivets to hold them in place.
