How can I make a remote switch to start the engine and stop it again? Seems handy when working on the engine, not having to jump in tbe car everytime to start and stop it.
Remote start on a manual would be a bad idea - on an Auto OK - however I'm not sure it's really worth it - you basically need an ignition switch and you already have one just a few feet away... adding another is not as easy as you might think, and creates some security issues. You can add a simple kill switch at the jump post that will stop the engine - but its also a new potential point of failure (so pro's & cons).
A battery cut-off switch (most conveniently placed in the battery ground connection) is helpful for battery disconnect when working on the electrical system - but it will NOT stop the engine if running (and could cause other problems then). It is also a new potential failure point. Any changes to the primary wiring need to executed very well or you are creating reliability problems.
This is the easiest thing i can think of.
Open the door turn on the key and put the window down,
turn the steering wheel so you can fit your hand to the key from outside the car,
set the E brake and verify neutral or park is selected.
Close the door.
NOTE follow E brake setting and transmission selector positioning to park or neutral prior to using these instructions.
To bump the engine from outside the car,
remove the 14 pin connector plug from its mate.
take the top half and touch the pin thats furthest forward and closest to the fender to the hot post this will crank the engine.
this is a picture of the top connector with the cover removed, pin 14 is the thick yellow wire . furthest forward and closest to the fender

Well, first off, what year? You show in the Netherlands, so I'm guessing a RoW car.
Are you looking for a permanent install, or just something in the toolbox to put in when you need it?
I would not suggest a permanent setup.
For 'ignition on & off" you could simply rig up a switched (and fused) jumper to one of the relay sockets. Depending on year, the ignition or fuel injection would work. If you have an early (CIS) car, you'd need to go with the fuel pump.
For starting, you can simply touch the yellow wire on the 14 pin to 12 volts (hot post).
BUT...
There is some very real danger potential here. Starting a car with no one at the wheel can have catastrophic consequences.
Yes, I realise the dangours. Perhaps I'll just make a kill switch. How to do that? So if needed start the engine with the key but stop it with a switch from outside. If the circuit is closed again, the ignition will ve in but starter is not activated
You never did spell out why you want to have this external starting thing rigged up
Most the time that the engine is running you would be driving the car I hope.
