My desktop has so many shortcuts to folders, and when the folders are the generic windows folder, they all blend in. I've created icons for various folders and folder shortcuts. With just a glance I can find the folder I'm looking for. Maybe this goes back to my days in preschool, but I like pictures
In this case, I did a 928 icon for my 928 related folder.
This is what it looks like on the desktop: (of course "928 Pictures" is the name that I happened to give this particular folder)
If you want this icon for a desktop folder, just download the little 928.ico file here and save to your desktop.
To turn a generic Windows folder icon into the 928 icon, do the following:
Move the 928.ico file to the folder that you want to change. You'll need to keep it there.
Right click the folder and select Properties
Select the Customize tab and click Change Icon
Click Browse from the popup and browse to the folder that you want to change and select "928.ico"
