Default 86.5 Instrument Cluster Foil.

Hi Guys,

Found a new foil locally for $50.00. Is it brand new. Mine has a small tear that has been soldered and I've noticed that a couple of connectors are looking dodgy as well. Is there any tricks I should know before I attempt the foil transfer?

cheers
Scott

Hey Scott, I did this last year.
Just label everything you take off, and try not to get sucked into a rabbit hole on other pod restoration while you are doing it.
The new circuit is awkward to fold into the tab shape it requires to fit into the muti-port connectors for the harness wiring, so watch that part.
I don't remember what I paid, but 50 bucks sounds like a great deal.

Take a picture of the cluster before disassembly and refer to it if you get confused.

IIRC, Dwayne's writeup on the speedo has instructions for removing and installing the plastic.
