Another great lead I was not aware of, thank you. Your right about the '28' years, I've done a lot of engine and chassis restorations over the last 10 years but am now starting to see several electrical issues. The last couple were the LH injection control and MAF sensor, fortunately ERI was able to resolve those.

The most common problem I see is defective wiring to the front sensors. The years of flexing those wires during turning and going over bumps takes its toll.

Deterioration of the white plastic connector inside the engine bay has also become very common. I've been cutting this connector off and using a Deutch connector with gold contacts for both the brake pad warnimg light and the ABS connection. This connector tucks very nicely into the stock black plastic holder, making things look close to original.

Tracing ABS problems can be troublesome and time consuming. I used to spend hours trying to figure out what the problem was. I was finally able to buy one of the Porsche ABS testing units....this tool turns diagnostics into 10 minute jobs when "active" problems are present. Intermittent problems are more difficult.

I do rent the tool to people that can't find the issue with "normal" methods.

I'm certainly realizing that some serious troubleshooting is in order. Your comments on the ABS sensor wiring along with other member comments has made decide to look at those issues first. Replacing relays maybe my second step. Thanks much.
