Coolant Reservoir Removal
Is there a trick to removing the coolant reservoir? My replacement has three mounting holes. Two of the bolts are easily accessible but the third seems impossible to get to. The Nichol's tip only refers to two mounting bolts. Anyone BTDT ('78 Euro)? Thanks!

It's possible to install three mounting bolts, but only two are needed to hold the tank in securely.
My brother's 81' had three bolts installed by the factory, but my 90' had only two.

If you notice on your new tank's mounting attachments, that there is a square edge with two holes, this flat edge actually wedges into a slot on the firewall and that fit is rather snug.
The snug fit keeps the tank from rocking and is the reason for only two bolts are required.
You should be able to verify the third bolt from the top of the tank with a small inspection mirror and flashlight.

Steve,
No third bolt. Spin the tank clock wise. this help with getting it out. Its a pain the first time. but as soon as you see what and where everthing is. the job gets much easer.
Good Luck,
