88 928S4: Wheel fitment question
Hi gents,
My brother is looking at a set of aftermarket 16" wheels with the following dimensions for his stock 88 S4:
Front: 16 x 8 et55
Rear: 16 x 9 et50
Will they fit assuming he sticks with factory size tires?
Thanks!

yes they will fit,
the fronts will stick out 10 mm more than stock not an issue
the rears will need a spacer to kick them out to fender lips,
best to use a bolt on bolt on spacer.
take measurements after you have the wheels/tires fitted and driven on.
On the rear wheel, measure from the edge of the fender lip to the outside wall of the tire ,
do both left and right sides,
use the smaller number,
then subtract 5 mm this is your ideal spacer size.
Then buy a spacer thats this size or less this will give the tire 5mm of room to go into the fender.
NOTE when the suspension compresses the rear wheel arc moves towards the center of the car
