Default Blaupunkt Berlin IQR 88

I wonder if there are anyone here with the original Blaupunkt Berlin IQR 88 installed. It was a very costly option for the 89 GT / S4.

:-)

It's a rare beast in '89- none in the US market, only 126 of 2422 in the ROW market.

Yes, very rare indeed. It uses an external receiver / pre-amp which is placed under the glovebox. The shelf under the glovebox is partially boxed up because of the receiver unit.

My 89’ GT has the full setup. Wondered if there were any others around.

Was the Berlin RCM 303 offered on the 928?

Not that I'm aware of- the only RCM/RDM radios called out in the factory literature for 928s are:

Blaupunkt London RDM42
Blaupunkt Bremen RCM43
Blaupunkt Duesseldorf RCR84
Blaupunkt Muenchen RD104

As far as I'm aware, the flexible arm wasn't installed in 928s with the IQR 88, though I could certainly be wrong. The three or so pics I've seen of Euro-market cars with the IQR 88 did not have the flexible arm remote.

Correct. The flexible arm was not a part of the installation from Porsche.

When I bought my 928, it came with a Blaupunkt Berlin. But I'm not sure if it is a IQR 86 or 88.
The 928S is from 1981 so not the original radio for sure. I just bought a Blaupunkt Bamberg QTS which is the radio from the option list of my car.
I'm located in Belgium so if anyone is looking for a Berlin in good condition, I might sell it in the near future
