Default CS wheel refurbishment.

I have a set of ''CS'' wheels on my 89 GT. A previous owner has had these powdercoated. Does anyone refurbish these to the original finish?

You can get them reanodized. Many people have had it done to their S4 rims. I'm sure some of them will chime in and give you a place to send them.

You need to find a metal refinisher that can strip the old powdercoat, fix any gouges along the rim edge, polish the faces of the wheels, and re-anodize to the EURAS E6/C0 standard.

Hmmm, any companies in Europe doing this job?

I looked for metal refinishers in Marbella but didn't see anything- I imagine there must be enough yacht merchants in that part of the world that there should be some local expertise.

No expertise in Spain I'm afraid. UK or Germany is my best bet :-)

Hi 993turbo

Just about to look for someone in the UK as I have just bought a GT with the forged wheels, still anodized/lacquered but scruffy. Will let you know if I find a decent source..

It is hard to tell from the picture but they look more like D90 wheels.

They almost look like modified S4 wheels

Shouldn’t they have the groove along the base of the opening? Seems to have been ground off?

Grove at base of opening..

Grab the Porsche part numbers off the wheels to be sure.

To my untrained eye, it looks like the wheels in the picture are both the same width.

Here are the part number markings off the 8- and 9-inch clubsports I have here for this '89 GT. Never noticed the embossed Fox (Fuchs) symbol before.
