Nice guys, real classy.....
I'll have you know, I turned down similar offers to sell my factory roof rack for the 928 & 944 (I have both).
Here's idea, if you don't agree with someone's asking price, how about just choosing to keep it to yourself instead of making a rude comment in their for sale thread.....OK?

Given the fact of how rare they were even when they were still available, plus how long they have been discontinued,... and it appears the OP's is in like new or new condition and complete, I don't think the price is out of line. Just like the prices of well taken care of 928s are rising, so will rare NLA well taken care of parts. AND, if a 928er is really, really wanting one...the price is a steal since it could be the last "complete like new" one for sale in existence ! :-) Besides that, it really isn't that far off of MSRP many years ago when they were available.
FYI, the last one I saw for sale was here on Rennlist 3 years ago.. https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...k-nos-nla.html for the exact same price($1000) and it was the cheaper Ski Rack version. Funny, at least 2-3 928ers were all over that one and it sold in a few days.
Cheers,
Dave

I had searched on and off for 10 years for a set of inlet tubes for my 86.5. Paid way more than I thought and something came up in my mouth when I saw the original sticker prices but I now have a set of new NLA tubes. Too scared to put them on the car now they look so nice. NLA prices are a funny thing. Try buying a Santana Supernatural double vinyl NEW and the price is around the same as these racks.

Send me one and I will strap some skis on and take it up to a ski area. We always chuckled when a 911 or similar car would sport a rack with skis. It's just wrong in so many ways. With that said, last summer, I saw a nice VW bug with a set of skis in Israel of all places.
