Hi guys,
I replaced my AC compressor about 4 years ago when I replaced my O-rings, hoses and condenser. All seems fine but I noticed AC oil on the bottom of the compressor case. I don't see any oil from the front seal area. I just see clean oil coming from the case in the front, rear and center areas. I've cleaned it and after a day or two I see another drop of clean oil. I think my compressor was a generic rebuild. (I know.)
Have you seen many case leaks?
I assume I should have bought a new Denso four years ago.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Dave
The casing static gaskets can leak- happened on my compressor. Had the thing rebuilt in a local a/c shop together with new dynamic seal and new solenoid. Works fine.
