Default Replacing worn headlight components.

My 81 has the standard sealed H2 headlights with the chrome ring. The components are worn down and rusted. I’d like to clean them up and re finish them as i have done with so many things on the car so far i continue the restoration. The adjuster screws are especially corroded and barely came off.

It seems the kits from 928 motorsports and pelican parts come with just the glass. https://928motorsports.com/parts/hellalights.php

Just wanted to make sure I’m correct in this. One of the rings that holds the glass lamp has a broken tab (bottom left) so I’d like to replace that and put in new adjuster screws.

Seems that the 7” H4 upgrade makes most sense for the earlier cars. Haven’t found an reasonable priced 8” kit and then you would need to replace the carriers also?

Might be a good time to consider the update to the 8" headlamp buckets and headlamps that your car was built for.

I have a pair of them here that I will let go for $565.00. They are the US-legal H5 standard, and they are in excellent used condition. The bulb, headlamp, and bucket are all included.

Let me know.
