Default Internal air temp. sensor/ Blower

Hi guys.
Two questions regarding the blower and internal temp sensor on my 87S4.
The blower works only on setting 4. I have installed a new resistor pack but still the blower works only on 4. I understand the new pack is different from the original one in the car so can anyone shed light on what pins i should connect into the pack? I was told that the top right wire (red/white) should be disconnected. i have done this but still only works on 4.

I connected a used internal air temp sensor but it keeps blowing the fuse number six. Any idea why it is doing this?
Help appreciated.
Martin.

Pull pin 8 on the harness and heat shrink it up. Move pin 6 to the pin 8 location and you should be good to go.

Check your blower relay then. The defrost relay powers it at full power. The other relay is for the lower speeds and should be a standard 53b relay.

It's also possible that I've totally got things backwards, it's happened before.

Hi Sean.
I have replaced both relays with new ones.

Have you checked the outside temperature sensor and its connections? This is the one in the air hose to the alternator in the passenger side guard on a R.H.D..
Sorry, didn't read your post correctly. The outside temp sensor would probably make it blow hot.
