Don't the headlights flip back to reveal launch tube for
guided (wire/ground radar) missiles.
Sucks that the 928 engine bay doesn't have lots of room
for full rack of missiles.
And don't forget the James Bond Laser Porsche crest
wheel center cap.
Can you just imagine look of tailgating driver when hatch pops
up to reveal big ole Chain Gun.

It's not a game mod, something I built from scratch.
The guns I built in 20 minutes, the missles I built in 15 minutes.
The car is a constant labor of love. (just like the real one) I just added nice rotor and brake calipers but would like a high resolution shot to add more realism. The interior is perhaps 60% modeled, and 20% textured with real leather/vinal right from the car.
I have issues with the top windshield and some door stuff to work out and finish the front spoiler.
I hope to port it into some games soon. Porsche unlimited will arrive anyday I'll tinker with that or Vice City.

Looking for high resolution images of this cross cut rotor with any color Porsche brake caliber you got. I stole the one your looking at from, shameless plug from 928gt (Where you all know they have great prices on everything your shark needs).
The image will be mapped over the 3D model you see here. Eventually this will go into some games somewhere.
I'm also working on the cockpit or IE POD and interior. Here is sample mock up of some interior I played with.

Alot of the 3D modeling is done, just need to play with textures and tweek it. The pod is one of the most fun things to work on in this project.

I have thought about this too quite a bit. I used to dream about building a real spy hunter car from a 928. So we could get the Jacquemond double HID headlight fenders, use one headlight opening for a sub machine gun and the other for a pair of missles or RPG. Or use the brake vents in the lower valance. The key to my strategy is complete anonymity and a plan that could be actually completed.
On the back end, the licence plate is mounted on a motorized arm to be concealed and moved to make way for a set of oil slick jets and smoke screen outlet. One of those rear mounted launcher fired electric immobilizers like they use in the Fast and the furious or a RPG would be a nice defense mechanism too; that could be tucked underneath the bodywork or where those little black holes are on the rear bumper covers.
As an option, there could be servo controlled motors and mini cameras mounted to the weapons for an accurate shot. An alpine LCD head unit will capture all the targets for viewing.
And you guys thought you had problems!

One of my friends has a small rocket launcher mounted behind the grill of his volvo. Currently It is a single shot/tube deal. He uses the big bottle rockets fired out of a tube that is a little smaller than the grill bar spacing. Fuse firing circuit wired into the shifter console, with arming button. Scares the living **** out of someone when they cut you off.
On those renderings, what is your modeling program?

I modeled the shark in Maya4.
But next week I'm going to be using Maya 5 with has a better rendering engine than 4.
Here is something to play with.
Left click to rotate.
Right click to zoom in.
Click both buttons to move around.

The model has lost a few things that I need to go back and tweek the mesh with but the link above is fun to play with. I'm fix it up later its almost beer-thrity.

I like the looks of the last onee here. ^^
Does somebody have a diagram or picture of the lifting/retracting mechanism for the lights? A sideview is especially what I need to see if my idea would work. (I dont have a 928..... yet (one day)..... so I cant just go look)
I have an idea of how to put a cover over the lights when they are retracted, but have the stock look when they are raised. Any diagrams pics etc would be awesome. Thanks!

I dont want rear hinged lights. I want the stock motion of the 928, with a cover that slides over when they are retracted. I have an idea I am 70% sure could work, but I need to verify how the mechanism works, specifically its geometry.
