Default NLA Brand New OEM 928 car covers available on e-bay

I have a few saved searches on e-bay for new old stock NLA 928 parts I'm interested in. I got a hit this morning on a brand new OEM Porsche 928 car cover with the Porsche logo on the front. The sealed packaging is clearly from Porsche.
I bought one this morning and it shows they have 9 remaining. I ran the number through Sunset Porsche to verify that it was still NLA and it shows the number as discontinued as I suspected. The price on e-bay is $245 plus $53 in shipping.
I'm expecting these to be perfectly tailored to our cars, some aftermarket covers that say there are custom fit are actually larger than optimal IMO.

Looks like he pulled the auction - I hope you at least get yours.

Nice looking cover but the $602 shipping to Australia could be an issue.

Two hours after I wrote my original post I received an e-mail from e-bay saying that my money had been refunded and that the seller reported they were out "out of stock".
Pretty frustrating seeing that their listing said they had 10 in stock.

Plenty of that goes on on eBay - they list parts they do not have - I agree very frustrating.

And even worse, Amazon with too many "resellers" without stock. But they don't care to shut it down.

If you are looking for a really nice indoor cover, I highly recommend this company and product:

$280 dollars and they make them for 928's. I have one for Turq and it is great.

The 991 cover from Porsche fits the 928 perfectly. I also have the 996TT cover on the 968 CS and again fits perfectly.

I like the $43 dollar one from Walmart in size 3 which has a 5 year warranty. It even lists the 928 as one of the cars the size 3 fits. It fits fairly well but loose enough to allow the use of spring clamps at each wheel well to hold it on from the wind.

The "form fitting" cover for an early car also fits my S4 all the same.

I'm with Jerry, the $40 medium sized car covers at Costco work great. Sure they don't "look" as cool, but since I needed 5 of them.......

Cover King makes a great car cover that can be bought in Costco. I dropped $80 at CarID on a universal storm-proof one for my CLK430. The tie-down grommets fell off after a major windstorm. A call to Cover King themselves got me a free replacement... and I got to keep my old one in addition to a formal letter of apology from the COO.

I love Cover King's service.
