engine reinstall - flexplate question
Hi guys, Currently reinstalling my engine after a rebuild. In my infinite wisedom, I did not mark the flex plate to the flywheel and starter ring before removing. I can confirm that the flywheel is correctly positioned as I was extremely careful when I replaced the rear main seal. I am wondering if it is necessary to have the flexplate is the exact same position as it was before I removed the engine? All that comes to mind is that it would be important for alignment with the gearbox.

When new the engine would be at TDC and the drain plug for TC is at the grate opening
line things up this way see what you get
