Default Rear lid lock/latch repair

After a good deal of searching for a good used replacement, I have decided to repair and reinstall my rear lid lock/latch mechanism.

like many of you, I have a hair line crack in the male section of the latch. for now, it works, and may work for a long time to come,
but wondering if anyone has filled the crack in an effort to add some stability.

I don't think JB weld is the right stuff; does anyone have a recommendation on how to address the crack?

I have repaired the same crack with a all metal welding rod I bought several years ago. It can be done, I did it.

I just had mine Welded also....we'll see how long it lasts.
Now i'm on the hunt for a new or used lock tumbler for it.
Anyone know where I can get a replacement ?
