928 Gratitude - Still There!
Wally Plumley and others used to say, "when you get everything running right on a 928 you get a full appreciation of its capabilities."
So, beautiful weather today; sunny, blue skies, and mid-seventies. Driving weather for sure! Washed the 928 and put a light coat of wax on it. And, off we go for a fun drive, with "no particular place to go."
I don't get to drive the 928 much these days, so everything was special once again. What a car! A Grand Tourer through and through. Long legs that eat up the highway, creature comfort from end-to-end, power when you need it or just for fun, clean lines that make you look back when you walk away (and when you come back to it). And it rides better than some modern cars too.
It gets noticed wherever it goes! On the highway, in the gas station, in the parking lot; it attracts people from all generations. Older folks say, "I had one of those and sold it, but wish I hadn't," or they say "I always wanted one, but..." The younger crowd says "what is it," or "what model is it," or "how fast does it go." Some of that happened today.
Doing a little reflection after the drive and remembering what I wrote a few years back: https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...gratitude.html
It's still true! It's a 928 and it's different!
Thought maybe some of you might want to share a few of your most recent positive 928 experiences.
