Default Cps and shield wires

Ignore the red on the fiber cut my finger stripping the harness.

In process of replacing Cps harness connector which has three wires. Along with these wires are two small shielding wires I believe are used for both the black and white wires.
The shielding wires when stripped back seem to be made of a fiber not copper. Do I connect them to the white and black wires or leave them not connected I assume they are the shields for the signal wires.
Thanks

No one?
Read most of the threads and this was never brought up, do I have something odd since the wire colors are different from the norm?

How can "wires" be fiber? There are no Fiber optics in these cars other than the Fiber in the HVAC head unit for conducting light to the *****.

Strip it back until you can see what is what, use an ohm meter if needed to see what conducts, if you look at the Wiring Diag, you will see the shielding.
Also the colors have faded over time and heat cycles, most reds are now brownish

Hope this helps

Dave
