Default AC/DC and the 928 in 1979

Off course we all heard of the sad news that AC / DC gitarist Malcolm Young just passed away at the age of 64.
The Dutch 928 club newsletter mentioned a link between AC/DC and the 928 that is interesting. See:

That has to be the absolute worst music video ever! Looks like they had about an hour to come up with a concept, film & edit something.
But loved seeing the 928! Wonder where that car is today?

Obviously this video was inspiration for some of Top Gears' skits decades later

Woulda been cool to have Rock Star Cash in 1979 and stumble into a dealer wearing a sweat-stained t-shirt and drive out with a new 928.

Nah.

It's about average (maybe even a bit above) for the time.

Music videos from the 70s and early 80s were pretty primitive, especially by today's standards. The ones from the early to mid 70s (or earlier) are really bad.

Low budget by today’s standards. But man they were a great live band.

I think the band became the antithesis of glam anyway. I don’t think either of the Young brothers, or and especially, Bon Scott much cared what the world thought about their looks — or their teeth, lol.
I always respected them for that.

One of the very best rock band in the world.

On records and live.

RIP Malcolm.

Used to follow them when they put out their 1st few albums. Personally liked Bon Scott's voice & those early songs better than Brian Johnson's. But his voice worked with their style well too. I'm certain though that you won't find a more enthusiastic "Car Guy", than the now Floridian, Johnson. It was a hoot seeing him describe his driving session & when he celebrated his 3rd place finish at the Classic HSR Races at Daytona earlier this month. You would have thought he'd won or was back on stage they way he was jumping around, waving his trophy, & ear to ear grin! A true credit to the Car Community, and testament to the joy that cars can bring to us all, even if you are a World Famous Rocker.

I smiled all the way through that video..bet they had fun making it, imagine the footage that was clipped out. Looks like hellblau with black blue pasha …1980 model from the seat upholstery. Saw these guys in 1980, my ears rang for two days.
