I'm not saying I would rent my car out but if I rented a high end car I'd treat it like a high end car, not like a Chevy Citation with 300k miles on it and some bad oil control rings...

Well said. I would treat that Ferrari with the care and respect as your typical Ferrari owner.

^^ Finally, someone driving the car it was meant to be driven. It's a group B rally car after all.

Anyway, I wouldn't rent my cars out to anyone outside of the people I know and trust enough to know they won't be pushing the limits of them.

That meant 90% of the people I know are out

I would rent out a base model 986 Boxster in a heartbeat. They are a dime a dozen and you can get a return in like 2 months easy.

...can't sell it, so pimp it. Wonder how many times she's been rented thus far? Seems most listings would cover the monthly payment in one day's fees.

I would have a very serious problem with someone doing 'a drift or two on a nice curvy back road."

Never drove the car before, yet after a short while behind the wheel is comfortable putting it sideways?

At least come up with your own quote! I would never buy a car from someone who participated in this. Your position is just simply naïve.

When I was working, I had rentals all the time, and never trashed or wrecked any of them. Drove all kinds too. Picked cars that I might have considered buying. Great way to make an evaluation.

If you won't let the 'car jockey' at at 'Valet Parking' drive it 50 yards (and I don't), Why would you EVER want to rent it out??....... "It's NOT your mother's Plymouth!"
