I don't know what 'jet hot' is, but I want them!
We'll work out the details.

They bolt right up, you just need to get rid of the EGR system and make a custom exhaust system unless they were designed to bolt up to the stock system.

Mark can specify

In which case you will need to make an adapter/spacer, as there is a ~3 inch gap between the header and cat when using 85-86 manifolds on a 84- car.

Crap.
Well, better off for a manual, rather than auto car anyway.

Jet-Hot is a business that does ceramic coating.
Presumably, headers are MSDS V1.0.

I believe you are correct but that's just a guess on my part

I picked up a set of MSDS 1.0 for my early '86....they aren't jet hot but hvae the optional ceramic you can get directly from them.

I'm very happy with them...reduced underhood temperatures dramatically and a nice boost in midrange torque...plus that fun header sound esp. when she starts up cold

How hard are these to put on? I'm assuming that the engine needs to be pulled?

I don't have facilities to wrestle the engine so I gave my car to a shop with 928 experience. They were able to install the headers by basically loosening things up and "rocking" things around so they could get things installed but they did tell me they did not have to pull the engine to do this job.

A different shop not familiar with the car did say they'd have to pull the engine and wouldn't do it...so if you farm it out I'd def. recommend a shop with 928 experience, vs. just an exhaust shop.

Well, i am planning to do the engine mounts and oil pan shortly. With those items out of the way, it may be easier to put them on. anyone with experience putting them? Thoughts?

If you are doing headers and motor mounts are not new, it’s a no brainer to pull the k member

yeah, my bad. I was at work and monitoring the conversation while in a long meeting. I think spending too much time doing a search would attracted too much attention.

Engine needs to be in but lifted some to install. I also had to modify the engine mount heatsheilds.
I battled it for a couple of hours before I found out the engine had to be in. There's just not enough clearance. Even with the radiator out.
