They will deffently fire. Well, they'll try to. Not a good idea though.

If the fuel pressure is way low, then they won't deliver enough fuel, and it won't vaporize properly. So your engine won't run at all, or won't run right anways.

If it's too high, they're deliver too much fuel, and I guess you can blow up the seals if it's way too high. Tioo much fuel pressure is suppost to be hard on injectors.

If it's just a little bit off, you'll run just a little lean, or rich depending, with the problems that goes with that.

Why? Your fuel pump acting like it's trying to go out?

I'm not so intersted in the Euros, just the L-jet folks. I know very little about the LH-system, other than what carries over from the L-jet, so I'm no help there.

Deffently a fuel problem then.

What was the last thing you did to the car, before it stoped running?

Look up my post for the no start guy a while back. Use the search fuction. It's adquitly misspelled, but should get you straightened out.

The biggest normal culprit is that expensive fuel pump relay.

And Euro folks, you guys already had your thread, so stop trying to make us US folks feel inferor!

VU,

When I bought the car, it was not running. I thought I can get it running easily enough. I was wrong. The pump is working and the injectors are firing. She will run if I spray liquid starter. I try WD40, that didn't work. I also clean all the ground connections just last week. I'm coming close to selling her and buying one that does run.

I was thinking of draining the tank this weekend and putting the fuel pressure gauge on. I will recharge the battery for good measure. Am I 100% sure,... yes, I hear the pump working and previously when I pull the injector, I see it spitting when my wife was cranking the car. I say spitting because it didn't look good, but it was firing.

1980 here. This is good timing as I just bough a couple of FI books and was going to go through the fuel injection top to bottom to figure out why my idle is erratic.

Bring it on!
