to grease or not to grease that is the question

I made a lower bell housing like Eric has shown its an easy adjustment with a helper to hold the clutch pedal to the floor then adjust the fingers.
That said with the I plate on the bench the fingers should be checked for the proper friction if any are easily moved then it would be wise to remove the rivets that hold them,
and replace them with hi quality bolts.
then the fingers can be adjusted easily on the car with the holed bell housing.
and the clutch will work great.

I have used the ratchet strap method anytime I do a dual disk clutch. Don't get upset if you have to pull it out again and do it all over, sometimes these are just a pain in the ***.

Now that I cleaned up the i plate and checked it out one of the adjusters is loose not real loose but not as tight as the other two . Is there a way to make that rivet tighter? Will peening with a hammer and punch tighten it up enough?

well you could try that it also has a spring washer holding the plate
